Our Advisors: Gene Doebley

About Gene

Gene is originally from Philadelphia and grew up with a strong interest in the outdoors. He chose to move to South Jersey in 1967 as the best place to raise a family and pursue his passion for fishing.  Gene is happily married with three grown sons who all share his love for the outdoors. 

Gene is retired now having spent thirty years in engineering and operations management for Verizon Communications Company and then fifteen years as managing partner of Doebley & Dad, LLC a new home construction business. Gene holds a 100-ton USCG Master’s license and earned an AA degree in business from ACCC.

Gene’s Role With NJOA | Special Advisor

Gene serves as a special advisor to the president, Ed Markowski. He has been the program coordinator for the annual Sporting Clay’s Shoot since 2018. Gene has taken on the job of web page editor and manages the Mail Chimp news flashes for NJOA.
