About NJOA

Recently formed, New Jersey Outdoor Alliance is the state’s first major political action committee devoted to the task of electing outdoor-minded candidates to public office.
NJOA has formed with the support of leaders of major pro-hunting, pro-angling, and pro-trapping organizations. We are not a hunting, fishing, or trapping “club” or “group,” and do not compete with the interests of such organizations. NJOA helps to ensure that strong wildlife and natural resource protection laws are produced by outdoor-minded elected officials. The best way to ensure a “conservation presence” in Trenton is to support the election campaigns of representatives who understand the relationship between a balanced ecology and hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Because of their charitable status with the Internal Revenue Service, other hunting, fishing, and trapping groups (such as NJSFSC, UBNJ, etc.) are legally prohibited from endorsing candidates. NJOA is allowed to participate in candidate election campaigns on behalf of all outdoor-minded people

New Jersey Outdoor Alliance will become involved in many races at the state level, and perhaps at the federal level during the primary and general elections. We can only succeed if outdoor advocates, hunters, anglers, and trappers participate with the work of NJOA. We urge you to support our efforts, follow our voting recommendations, to volunteer for endorsed candidates, be involved in the political process - and VOTE!

Legislation is now pending in New Jersey that may severely restrict - or possibly abolish - hunting, fishing, and trapping. New Jersey Outdoor Alliance can be an important factor in abolishing such legislation, and in its place promote bills and amendments that enhance the outdoor experience.

Please support New Jersey Outdoor Alliance with your donation and volunteer efforts. Let’s elect candidates to office who help to enact laws that are ecologically sound, scientifically based, and conservation conscious.
